Our CEO, David, lived through this problem. As a first-gen, low-income student, he was lucky to make it to a big university. That’s where he was exposed to just how wide the gap was between underestimated students back home, training, and entry-level career opportunities. He set out to solve this issue. The founding team is composed of David Lopez and Avi Uddaraju, who is CTO. David and Avi have been working together for over two years.
David, the CEO, is all about leadership, sales, and ensuring our team has the resources to succeed. Avi is our technical lead and has the experience necessary to build the infrastructure to set our stakeholders up for success. Both founders have had multiple experiences with startups + accelerators before teaming up to build Gritly. We have the right team to solve this problem. Along with a persistence and execution mindset, we are technically capable of serving our students with the best student experience and tools needed. Along with building partnerships with the companies and organizations, we will push our mission forward regardless because we understand that everything we are working on is bigger than ourselves. This is all possible because of how closely we understand our students, as we were them, dealing with hardships life throws at us and lack of opportunities to shine.
